The Maynard Cape: Floor Tile

I went to pick up the floor tile the other day and was presented with a crate of tile. When I put in the order I saw the number of cases: 10. And yet it didn't quite compute in my head just how much tile that would be. So I was floored when this entire crate was for me.

Moving it from the cart to my truck and then from the truck into the house was a whole workout unto itself. Arms and abs. Who needs a gym membership when you can just work on a house. I am so excited to see the tile on both bathroom floors. I think it's going to look fantastic and really make the bathrooms super chic. And also that matte finish is going to hide any dirt tracked in by kiddos or pets (or adults, no judgement).

Unfortunately, I'm not able to be at the house at all this week, so I spent an hour on Saturday screwing down the backer board in preparation for the tile, and then I tore out the ceiling and strapping in the breezeway so the vaulted ceiling can be exposed and make that space feel so much bigger than it currently does. But hopefully soon I'll have pictures to share of the tile in all its glory. Next up: picking out the tile for the shower walls.
