Ranch House - Week Ten

We are entering the tenth week of this flip. It feels to me like it's been six months that we've been working on it. But we are so close. This weekend our floor guy was in to do a second sanding of the floors before starting the first coat of stain. So we couldn't be inside while he was working. Instead we put in a new door on the back of the garage and worked on finishing up the deck.

Let's revisit what the front of the house looked like when we started...

And now...

I would put a few Adirondack chairs out there for summer nights.

And then this was what the breezeway originally looked like...

And now it's the door to the kitchen (ignore the table which was only moved their temporarily)...

The moose who lives next store stopped by for a bit, shedding her undercoat all over the front yard and covering me with fur.

So this week while I'm at work, the floor guy will be staining. I managed to snap a few pictures of the untouched floors so you can see the full transition. Below is the living room/dining room space.

Here's the master bedroom floors...

And this last shot from outside looking into the living/dining room. Do you remember how dark these rooms were when we started? And look how bright they are now. Such a transition.

The next time I'm at the house the floors will be done. I can't wait to see them shine. Then we'll just be waiting on the countertops, the basement carpet and small things like purchasing closet doors and bathroom fixtures. We are so close (I know, I say that every week, but now I truly mean it)!
