Peanut Butter Procrastination

By now you have realized that I am the queen of procrastination. I don't know if I was always like this. I suppose in college I could only procrastinate so long before a paper was due and I was too afraid of failure to not pass it in on time. But when you write books without having a publishing deal you don't have hard stops.

I set a goal for this week - one last edit and then over the weekend publish this book on Amazon. But then Monday night something came up (I can't even remember what, so really, not a good excuse), Tuesday night Pretty Little Liars premiered a new season (god, I love that show), Wednesday my mother unexpectedly showed up (and the Bruins were playing game one against Chicago, so I mean...), and then last night I was really going to get going on this last edit. But there was no chocolate to be found in my apartment. None. And coconut popsicles just weren't going to cut it. So I reverted back to my tried and true method of procrastination.

I baked. Peanut butter cookies, to be exact. I'm not even including a picture because I ate so much dough while baking, and then had to try 5 of them, you know, to make sure they tasted okay after they came out of the oven. More than twelve hours later I still feel a bit queasy thinking about it.

My computer never got turned on. 250-something pages to read through this weekend... yay. So tonight, post gym, I will not even be turning on the TV. At all. I will turn on my computer and read until I am done. That means not turning on the tv tomorrow either. Oh god, what if a really good Lifetime movie is on?!

Happy Reading!
