Book Party: Kissing Frogs

What does one wear to a party celebrating their book, especially when the guest list contains a lot of Boston Fashion Bloggers???

In the winter, all I want to do is wear leggings, wool socks, a big, comfy sweater, and curl up under a blanket. Growing up in a house with a wood stove, where the temperature of the fire hovered around 600 degrees, I got used to a certain degree of warmth. Then, as an adult, having to pay ridiculous heating bills on a poorly insulated (if at all) apartment, I just cannot seem to get warm except when I'm burrowed in bed. So not much will get me into a dress and nylons on a cold winter day. But a book party sure will.

I went to Wrentham on Monday with the girls and in the back of my mind had an idea of what I was looking for. But then I walked into J.Crew and this sweater was the very first item I set my eyes on and Molly said, "You have to at least try it on." While it wasn't what I was looking for, it solved my cold issue and hello, it's an ampersand.

Thank you to Molly Galler, party planner extraordinaire, for making the evening a special one. And thank you to everyone who came. I hope you enjoyed Highball Lounge, the conversation and cocktails!
