Paris

This past weekend I went to Paris with Molly. I had never been and as the trip neared I started to get really panicky about the language barrier. It sounded like, from people who had been before, that I was going to be in trouble, that Parisians would not speak English and would stick their noses up at the fact that the extent of my French was limited to Bonjour and Merci.

Well let me tell you what. I fell in love with Paris and its people. The rumors were completely unfounded. Everyone was so incredibly accommodating once they realized I didn't speak the language. They were all so friendly, so welcoming, just really incredible.

I cannot wait to go back. There may only have been a half hour bit of sun during the four days I was there and I even got soaked in a bit of rain when we walked to the Eiffel Tower but I did not care in the least! Such a beautiful city and I'm so thankful for the experience.

C'est Magnifique!

  1. YAY! I'm so glad you loved it and that the people were great! Parisian's are so wonderful if you just try to be kind and make an attempt, even if it's only bonjour and merci. You will have to go back in the summertime and I can assure you that you will never want to leave.
